Artelle Puppets had a fantabulous time !
The Puppets Up International Puppet Festival hosted annually by the picturesque town of Almonte, Ontario wrapped up another super year of puppetry entertainment and family fun this past the weekend, August 7, 8 & 9, 2015.
Artelle Puppets has been involved with the festival since it first began in 2005. In the past we have performed puppet shows, offered workshops, volunteered our services, as well as sold our puppets.
This year the Artelle Puppets booth was located in a sunny spot just off Main Street, and happy customers bought a huge bunch of our hand-made puppets. During the festival we met a ton of super friendly people all enjoying the sites, sounds, and tastes, but mostly of course enjoying the many puppetry performances offered by top notch puppet theatre companies. You can read more about these troupes at www.puppetsup.ca
At the Artelle booth, kids and parents also enjoyed performing mini shows for each other at our table-top stage, a popular attraction for puppeteers of all ages. In the photo below, the Mr. & Mrs. Snowman hand-puppets made by Peggy Artelle are helping a young lady to put on a show at our booth during the festival.
